Good quality, but shipping could be faster

Compared to Seed Savers Exchange, The Living Seed Company's sprouting seeds seemed like a good value. The carrot seeds were also a nice addition to my order. Everything arrived well-packaged, but it took a bit longer than I expected for them to get to me after ordering.

Bean seeds shipped fast

Got my 'Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean' seeds. Shipped quick. Packaging was good. Planted them, they're coming up nicely. No complaints.

Reliable heirloom seeds

This isn't my first time ordering from Living Seed Company. I've bought various seeds from them over the years, mainly their Heirloom Tomato Seeds and some of their Pollinator Friendly Flower Seeds. This time I picked up their 'Brandywine' tomato seeds and a Wildflower mix. Their quality is consistently good; I've always had high germination rates, and the plants produce well. Their packaging is also always secure. It's why I keep coming back. Never had an issue with an order. It's good to have a trustworthy source for my garden.

Good seeds, quick shipping

I ordered some Organic Vegetable Seeds, specifically their 'Rainbow Blend Carrot' seeds, a few weeks ago. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. I got a confirmation email right away. Shipping was surprisingly fast; they arrived two days earlier than the tracking said, which was a nice surprise. The seeds were packaged well in little paper packets, clearly labeled. I've already planted them, and the germination rate seems pretty good so far. I had a quick question about soil temperature for carrots, and their customer service responded within a day to my email. Very helpful experience overall.

Hey, thinking of ordering some seeds for my spring garden. Does anyone know if they ship to North Dakota? And how long does it usually take to get here?

O Omar V. 2 months ago
Yeah, they ship nationwide, so ND shouldn't be an issue. I ordered from them a few times, usually takes about 5-7 business days to get to me on the east coast, so maybe a bit less for you.

I'm in Montana, got my last order in about 4 days. Pretty quick for seeds, I thought.

When's the best time to buy seeds for fall planting? Do they do sales around then?

M Marcus J. 2 months ago
Fall planting season is usually August-September, and yeah, they often have sales then. Keep an eye on their site or sign up for emails.

They'll definitely have something in late summer for fall planting. Also watch for end-of-season clearance sometimes which can include stuff good for fall.

Are their seeds really organic? Like, I'm trying to avoid anything treated or not genuinely organic.

S Sophie Foster 2 months ago
Yep, they're certified organic. That's one of their main things, all non-GMO too.

Can confirm, all their stuff is certified organic and open-pollinated. I've been buying from them for years, never had an issue with that.

I'm looking at a couple of seed collections. Do those bundles usually come with a discount, or is it better to buy individual packs?

K Kevin V. 2 months ago
The collections usually have a built-in discount compared to buying everything separately. That's kinda the point of them.

Yeah, if you're getting a few things in one theme, the collections are usually a better deal. They'll show the savings on the product page, I think.

How do their heirloom tomato seeds compare to Baker Creek? I usually buy from them but saw these guys mentioned.

J Josh Romero 2 months ago
I've bought from both! Living Seed Company has been great for me, good germination and really unique varieties. Baker Creek is good too, but these guys focus a lot on climate adaptability, which is cool.

Honestly, both are solid. I'd say Living Seed Company leans more into the really adapted, open-pollinated stuff. Good quality, can't go wrong.
